The Centre for Political philosophy, Ethics and Religion is independent and efficient research unit within the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague.
We intend to be a platform for academic discussion with wide public impact. We want to facilitate a cutting-edge research and connect it with pressing social questions.
Aims and activities
The Centre focuses on scholarly research in intersections of political philosophy, ethics and religious studies. We organize international conferences and workshops and arrange research stays and academic exchanges with partner institutions. The Centre would like to offer research scholarships for advanced academicians and research related post-doc positions. We collaborate with media in order to achieve social impact of the research we facilitate.
The centre collaborates with project KREAS, “Creativity and Adaptability as Conditions of the Success of Europe in an Interrelated World” (reg. no.: CZ.02.1.01/0.0/0.0/16_019/0000734).
